The City of Reading is accepting sealed bids from qualified vendors for the demolition of a building located at 338 Pearl Street. Bids must be submitted via the PennBid program. The contract documents and proposal form can be obtained through the PennBid program. Davis-Bacon Act prevailing wage rates must be paid by the contractor, and employees must not be discriminated against based on race, color, age, religion, sex, or national origin. Each proposal must include a bid surety in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the proposal. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or portions thereof and/or waive any informality in any bid received when such action is in the City's best interest.
