The City of Lindsay invites qualified firms to submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) demonstrating their capability and intent to acquire, own, operate, and improve the Cities potable water and wastewater systems. The City owns the water and wastewater treatment systems, physical assets and infrastructure through which it supplies water to its approximately 13,900 residents and approximately 278 businesses, totaling 3020 service connections. The City's service area covers all users within the city limits as well as four unincorporated communities outside the city limits. The City's water supply has been both from groundwater and surface water. The System consists of two operating ground water wells (Well 14 and Well 15). There is one well currently under a rehabilitation process (Well 11). The City's wastewater is conveyed to the WWTF in a gravity pipeline. The collection system consists of two other trunk sewers located within the city limits which were replaced around 2000. Most of the other sewers were constructed in around 1911 of concrete pipe.
