Per the owner all bids were rejected, and the project is postponed. This will re-bid at a future date and time. The Housing Authority of the Cherokee Nation is seeking bids for the renovation of one home located in Cherokee County. Work must be completed according to the specified work write-up and the project must be fully completed within 5 working days, or the contractor will be charged $100.00 per working day for each day the project extends beyond the stated construction end date. To be considered responsive and responsible, bidders must fully complete the mandatory bid response sheet. The responsible contractor submitting the lowest, most responsive bid in accordance with the HACN Procurement Policy will be issued a purchase order. Bids may be mailed, emailed, or hand delivered, and it is the bidder's responsibility to ensure the bid is delivered by the specified deadline. Late bids will not be considered. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 30 days after the due date. The Housing Authority of the Cherokee Nation reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to award the contract in the best interest of the Authority. Indian and Non-Indian bidders are accepted; however, Indian preference will be given to bidders providing proof of current certification from the Cherokee Nation Tribal Employments Office (TERO). TERO requirements apply, including completion of the TERO Labor Agreement and payment of all applicable fees. This contract is subject to Section 7(b) of the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act, which prefers Indian organizations and Indian-owned economic enterprises in contracting and subcontracting.
