Electrical renovation and modernization to existing facilities and structures on UCSD main campus. The Contractor must be able to perform a wide variety of individual electrical meter renovation, replacement and modernization projects over the duration of the JOC contract. The University may require work be conducted within specified work-windows without interruptions to normal campus operation. All works under this contract will be performed on or at facilities owned, leased, or managed by the University of California, San Diego. The Contractor will be required to bond for the initial amount of $1,000,000 at the time of contract award and increase the bond amount up to the maximum of $2,000,000 as the Job Order Authorization amount exceeds the initial $1,000,000. The following "specialized work" is excluded from this JOC contract: 1. Work managed by Capital Program Management 2. Work managed by Campus Housing & Dining 3. Work managed by UC San Diego Medical Center. The JOC will have a Base Term of 1 year with University holding an option to renew for two (2) additional 1-year periods ("Option Terms"). Individual Job Order Authorizations will most likely fall between $25,000 and $250,000. In no instance shall a single Authorization exceed $1,000,000. The total combined cost for all Job Orders issued will not exceed $2,000,000 during the 1-year Base Term, and $2,000,000 during each 1-year Option Term, if exercised by the University. The minimum value of work to be purchased under this Contract will be $25,000. No maximum Contract amount is guaranteed. Only prequalified bidders will be allowed to submit a Bid on this project. Bids are to be submitted to The Regents of the University of California ("University") via Trimble Unity Construct (formerly eBuilder) Bidding Module for furnishing all labor, materials, services, and equipment to complete the Work in accordance with the enclosed Bidding Documents. Attendance at the Pre-Bid Conference is mandatory for Contractors to bid on this specific project. Bid Security in the amount of $25,000 shall accompany each Bid. The successful Bidder will be required to have the following California current and active contractor's license at the time of submission of the Bid: C-10: Electrical Contractor. The University selected Facility Optimization Solutions (FOS) of Cannon Design's Job Order Contracting Solution for this project, which includes proprietary Simplebid(TM) JOC software applications and construction cost data to be used by the Contractor. The Contractor shall be required to execute FOS of CannonDesign's End-User License Agreement (EULA). The successful Bidder and its subcontractors will be required to follow the nondiscrimination requirements set forth in the Bidding Documents and to pay prevailing wage rates at the location of the work. The awarded contractor shall make best efforts to provide qualified SBEs and DVBEs with the maximum opportunity to participate. The work described in the contract is a public work subject to section 1771 of the California Labor Code. No contractor or subcontractor, regardless of tier, may be listed on a Bid for, or engage in the performance of, any portion of this project, unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 and 1771.1. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. The successful Bidder shall pay all persons providing construction services and/or any labor on site, including any University location, no less than the UC Fair Wage; California Minimum wage; and Local minimum wage; and shall comply with all applicable federal, state and local working condition requirements. Pre-qualification requirements: Only prequalified C-10 Electrical Contractors are eligible. The following bidders have been prequalified: Baker Electric & Renewables LLC, Dynalectric Company, Neal Electric Corp., Warren Thompson Enterprises Inc. dba Allstate Electric, Southern Contracting Company. Attendance at the Pre-Bid Conference is mandatory. Bid Security in the amount of $25,000 is required. The successful bidder must have a current and active California C-10 contractor's license at the time of bid submission. Contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. Evidence of an equal employment opportunity policy may be required.
