Engineered carbon designed to target H2S, using 4mm cylindrical pellets with a density of 0.30 g/cc and approximately 60% H2S removal media by weight. The total product quantity is 208 cubic feet. Specifications include: CTC value of 70% minimum, surface area of 1050 m2/g minimum, moisture content of 5% maximum, hardness of 95 minimum, ignition temperature greater than 400°C, and mean particle diameter of 4mm. Additionally, spherical or cylindrical pellets with a 50/50 blend of potassium permanganate-based media and virgin bituminous activated carbon are required. These pellets are formed from a combination of powdered activated alumina and binders specifically impregnated with potassium permanganate, mixed with porous cylindrical pellets of high grade bituminous activated carbon. This product must meet UL requirements for a Class 1 fire rating. The total quantity is 167 cubic feet. Specifications include: potassium permanganate content of 12% minimum, moisture content of 20% maximum, crush strength between 40-60%, abrasion loss of 3.0% maximum, nominal pellet diameter of 1/8” (approximately 3mm or 85% after screening), and removal capacities specified for H2S, sulfur dioxide, nitric oxide, nitrogen dioxide, and formaldehyde.
