Site work for a mixed-use development in Carolina, Puerto Rico. Completed plans call for site work for a communication facility; and military facility.
The 156th Wing at Muniz Air National Guard Base, Carolina, P.R seeks to relocate its fiber optic infrastructure from a condemned building (Building 5) to a newly constructed Communications Squadron (CS) facility within the base. The project consists of providing all personnel, test equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, incidentals, and other items to supply, install, engineer, terminate and test new and augmented fiber optic infrastructure as specified in the Scope of Work, to connect the new CS facility to key buildings across the installation, ensuring both primary and redundant base network connectivity. The contractor must meet all government specifications, standards, and schedule requirements; only new items covered by manufacturer's warranties will be accepted. The period of performance is 60 calendar days from contract award. This is a 100% small business set-aside. Bidders must complete all required solicitation documents, submit a capabilities statement addressing specific questions about technical proficiency, past performance, management of similar tasks and subcontractors, technical skills, and the ability to self-perform at least 50% of the work. Failure to meet these requirements will result in nonresponsive offers. Award will go to the lowest priced, technically acceptable quote.
