This contract provides for work that increases accessibility at site parking and the interior of the Veteran's Hub Building. The interior improvements entail the installation of a wheelchair lift, plumbing upgrades that allow use of no-touch faucets, and automatic door operators to the rest room doors and building entrance doors. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check for five percent of the amount of the proposal made payable to the City Treasurer, or an approved bid bond for five percent of the amount of the proposal executed on the approved form attached to these specifications. If bid bond is used, the five percent may be shown in dollars and cents or the form may be filled in by inserting therein, in lieu thereof, "five percent of the amount of the accompanying proposal". Check of unsuccessful bidders will be returned immediately upon award of contract. The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive all informalities.
