FDOT FM No.: 446384-1 This project is for the rehabilitation of Taxiway A, Taxiway A1, and Taxiway A6 via asphalt mill and overlay. Taxiway A2 connector will be realigned to be 90 degrees to the runway for safety reasons. The existing taxiway run-up areas will also be rehabilitated via asphalt mill and overlay. The work includes pavement demolition, asphalt paving operations, airfield lighting replacements, grading and drainage improvements, and pavement markings as depicted in the contract documents. Bids must be made on the provided forms, supplying all required information prior to bid opening. Guarantee is required with each bid as a certified check or bid bond of 5% of the total bid amount. The successful bidder must furnish performance and payment bonds each for 100% of the contract price. Time for substantial completion is 150 calendar days from the start of contract time, with final completion and acceptance within 180 calendar days. The project is subject to liquidated damages. The contract shall be awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. Bids may be held for up to 120 days for evaluation. The Sebring Airport Authority reserves rights to waive informality, reject any or all bids, re-bid, award or refrain from awarding, and negotiate with the apparent low bidder. The project is anticipated to be federally assisted and subject to applicable federal and state laws, including Equal Employment Opportunity and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise requirements. Bidders and their affiliates convicted of public entity crimes may not submit bids or perform work under the contract.
