Renovation of a mixed-use development in Johnson City, Tennessee. Working plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
Campus-wide striping and painting services are required at the James H. Quillen Veterans Affairs Medical Center to refresh and enhance existing pavement markings across multiple parking areas. Work includes surface preparation by cleaning all areas to be striped to ensure proper paint adhesion, coordination of traffic shutdowns with the COR, and re-striping of parking spaces, directional arrows, lane dividers, stop bars, crosswalks, pedestrian walkways, loading zones, fire lanes, no-parking zones, reserved parking areas, and ADA-compliant handicap spaces. High-quality, durable traffic paint suitable for concrete surfaces shall be used, with colors applied in accordance with standard and ADA requirements, and stencils provided as needed for symbols, numbers, and lettering. Reflective additives may be applied where specified to improve visibility. The project also includes preparation and installation of a new 65-foot by 5-foot concrete walkway connecting the existing healing garden walkway to the South First Street sidewalk, including saw-cut joints at five-foot intervals, control joints at existing concrete, removal of excavated material, and restoration of surrounding areas with grass to match existing conditions. In addition, the contractor shall prepare access ramps and install fifty ADA access early warning tiles, including concrete cutting, ramp painting, and placement to avoid creating tripping hazards. All work shall meet quality control standards for clean, straight lines, comply with approved layouts, follow OSHA and traffic safety requirements, be performed in phases including after hours and weekends as necessary, and include full cleanup and site restoration upon completion. The performance period is 365 calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Location: James H. Quillen Veterans Affairs Medical Center (Mountain Home VAMC), 2201 Murfreesboro Pike, Mountain Home, TN 37684. Performance Period: 365 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP).
