Site work for a sidewalk / parking lot in Chillicothe, Missouri. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Bids are being received for sidewalk replacement at the East View Estates and the Parkview Estates housing complexes. Bidders must submit a certified check or bank draft, U.S. Government bonds, or a satisfactory bid bond in an amount equal to five percent of the bid, with the condition that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will enter into a proper contract within ten days of acceptance. The successful bidder must furnish a performance bond in an amount of one hundred percent of the contract. Wage rates paid on construction work must meet at least the prevailing wage rates as determined by HUD Wage Rates. The contractor and subcontractors must not discriminate in employment practices. The nondiscrimination stipulations, assurance of compliance, equal opportunities, and HUD determined wage rates are included in the contract documents. The Housing Authority reserves the right to refuse any or all bids. No bid may be withdrawn for thirty calendar days after the opening of bids without the consent of the Housing Authority.
