The City of Chillicothe is seeking sealed bids from qualified contractors for the demolition and asbestos removal of 17 residential and 1 commercial structure. Demolition and asbestos removal are being bid together. The demolition contractor must either be licensed for asbestos removal or partner with a licensed asbestos contractor. After asbestos is removed by the licensed contractor, the demolition contractor will finish demolition. All bidders must attend a mandatory bid tour to be eligible for award. Bids must include a bid guarantee equal to 5% of the bid amount, which can be secured by a bid bond or certified check. Wage rates, compliance with federal and state regulations, and documentation for E-Verify are required. The City reserves the right to waive informality or reject any or all bids.
