Reference Number 0000421058 The work consists of installing approximately 1,100 feet of new water main to replace existing, aged water mains in the distribution system. The work also includes new valves and hydrants as well as connecting existing water services to the new water main, abandonment of the existing water main, and surface restoration. The Work includes the following major items: a. Approximately 1,100 linear feet of new 8-inch ductile iron water main, hydrants, service re-connections, and appurtenant work. b. Abandonment of existing water mains. c. Bituminous concrete pavement repair and surface restoration. Question Acceptance Deadline 04/29/2026 05:00 PM EDT Questions are submitted online No Sealed Bids must have outer envelope marked as "Town of Esopus, Port Ewen Water District, Water Main Improvements East Stout Avenue Water Main." A bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder will also be required to provide performance and payment bond in the amount of 100% of the value of the contract. The time period for holding Bids, is 45 days after opening of Bids, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays. Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goals are applicable to the total dollars paid to the construction contract. The goals for this project are a minimum of 20.0 percent M/WBE participation by certified DBEs.
