Renovation of a bridge / tunnel in Lafayette, Indiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a bridge / tunnel.
Repairs to the John T. Myers Pedestrian Bridge consisting of cleaning and painting; repairs to structural steel, concrete, deck paver units, and bridge joints; and miscellaneous repairs. Work shall be in accordance with the Bidding Documents, including referenced Specifications and Construction Drawings. Bids shall be properly and completely executed on Form No. 96 (Revised 2013, as prescribed by the Indiana State Board of Accounts), accompanied by the Project Bid Proposal Form. Bids must include a financial statement reflecting conditions not more than four months prior to the bid date, an acceptable Cashier's Check or satisfactory bond by an incorporated surety company in good standing and qualified to do business in Indiana, in an amount of not less than five percent of the bid. Bidder's Federal I.D. number must be shown on Form 96 under Section V, Oath and Affirmation. The awarded contractor must furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent of the contract price. No bidder may withdraw their proposal within sixty days following the bid date. The City reserves the right to retain bids for up to sixty days, waive informalities, award the contract to any bidder(s) to the advantage of the City, or reject all bids. Electronic Bid Documents must be obtained from VS Engineering to be considered a potential bidder and to be placed on the plan holder list to receive project addenda.
