The work includes the removal of the existing trash compacting unit and replacement with a new compactor for the high school. This is to be a turnkey operation and includes training and warranty information. The district will provide electrical connection and disconnection as required. The bid must include the compactor and the attached decking from the loading dock to the compactor. The compactor should match or be equivalent to the Sebright model 4860 Rear Feed Compactor, with the container provided by the district’s waste disposal provider. The decking should be approximately 9’x11’ and constructed of 3/8” steel. All rails along the dock are to be included in the installation and bid package. The installer must provide proof of insurance, and no bond is required. The compactor specifications are detailed in the scope, including but not limited to a 10 HP motor, multi-cycle timer, 2-yard charge chamber, 1-year parts and labor warranty, and other specified features for both the compactor and decking.
