Site work and new construction of an educational facility in Vancouver, British Columbia. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 122,279-square-foot educational facility.
Replace the Chemistry/Physics wing with a new state-of-the-art 11,360 gross square metres research building that will house modern laboratories, core facilities, and areas for collaboration. TIMELINE: Preliminary planning is ongoing. The project is proposed as part of the owner's Five-Year Capital Plan 2026-27 to 2030-31 and is pending funding approval. Project schedules including tendering, construction timelines and design are undetermined and may be confirmed once funding is secured. Further update in late spring 2027. *UBC - Science Central One - Chemistry Laboratory Complex (Teaching) is being followed under a separate report.
