The City of Grand Rapids is seeking bids for the reconstruction of MILLBANK STREET from Giddings Avenue to Newcastle Drive. The work consists of street reconstruction, water main and water service replacement, and drainage improvements. Bids must be submitted on the basis of unit prices as listed on the Bid Form using the e-bidding system. All forms, information, and specifications are available for download free of charge on Bid Express. Hard copies may be examined and obtained at the Engineering Department for a fee. The successful bidder for this project must not discriminate on the basis of various protections as stated, must require the same of subcontractors, and must have a policy regarding a Drug-Free Workplace and certify this policy is in place. Question Deadline 05/14/2026 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents shall be submitted to the Engineer in writing. Replies will be issued by Addenda, delivered to all parties, recorded by the City as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than 5 business days prior to the date for opening of Bids will not be answered. Only questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
