733 CES is requesting the purchase and installation of an airfield beacon light, along with its relocation to a cell phone tower on the base. Additionally, they are seeking the implementation of a wireless control system that enables communication between the air traffic control tower and the beacon on the cell phone tower. The existing beacon system was designed and installed by Electrical & Construction Specialists (ECS), Inc. To meet Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, original equipment manufacturer (OEM) components must be used when modifying the existing beacon system (per AC 1505345-53). The existing beacon has the following part number: ECS-224M, it is only made by Electrical & Construction Specialists, Inc. and there are no known third party certified alternates available. To meet FAA regulations, the beacon must be replaced with the same part number.
