Reference Number 0000421266 The School Board of Palm Beach County, Florida invites Certified General Contractors or Certified Building Contractors prequalified by the School Board pursuant to SREF Chapter 4.1 prior to the Bid Due Date to submit a Bid. To be eligible, the vendor must be prequalified for bonding capacity in the amount of the advertised Construction Budget or evidence bonding capacity in that amount prior to the Bid due date. The scope of work entails remediation of all outstanding Priority 1 and Priority 2 ADA deficiencies at Lake Worth Middle school. This work is based on the findings and recommendations outlined in the Peacock Consulting Group Phase 1 assessment, as well as previously completed ADA reports. The site scope includes installation of new signage at the gates along the accessible route to ensure clear wayfinding and compliance with accessibility standards. The interior scope includes installation of ADA-compliant signage, replacement and modification of door hardware, renovation of restrooms to meet current accessibility standards, including faucet adjustments and installation of new plumbing accessories as noted. The work also includes replacement of drinking fountains and relocation of plumbing fixtures as required, modification of casework, and relocation of AED cabinets to ensure compliance. Additional interior work includes partial demolition of concrete slab at locker rooms including new finish for flooring as required, installation of a new bench, and removal of lockers. All work to comply with current ADA standards and applicable building codes. Contractor is responsible for verifying all existing conditions in the field and ensuring that all work complies with the School District of Palm Beach County design criteria and the district master specifications.
