Sealed bids will be received electronically for the following projects: (1) Installation of Asphalt Surface Treatment (single application) covering approximately 137,708 square yards on various streets; (2) Installation of Superpave Overlay Paving, approximately 29,245 square yards, including miscellaneous work, on various streets. All bids must be made on forms furnished by the Township and must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, issued by a Surety licensed to conduct business in Pennsylvania in the amount of at least 10% of the total bid price, made payable to the Township, along with an Anti-Collusion Affidavit. Bidders must be PennDOT prequalified as a Prime Contractor for all bid items and must verify compliance with the Public Works Employment Verification Act (E-Verify Program). Copy of prequalification must be included with all bids. All information must be submitted via the PennBid Program. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Insurance and Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price with a corporate surety licensed in Pennsylvania and approved by the Township. Award of Contracts will be based on the Total Base Bid(s) and made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for each project. The Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any informalities.
