The project includes renovation of the surfaces of the pool walls and floor, including replacement of all coping units and tile, the repair of cracks and loose areas of the plaster surface and replacing drain covers. Proposals must be submitted in triplicate using the bid forms provided with the contract specifications. Each proposal must include a ten percent bid security. The successful bidder must furnish Performance, Payment and Maintenance Bonds in the amount of 100% of the total contract amount from an approved surety company authorized in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. A Certificate of Insurance showing proof of liability insurance and worker's compensation insurance must be provided as specified in the bid documents, within ten days of the Notice of Award. All work is subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act and appropriate prevailing minimum rates must be paid. The Borough of Hamburg reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or portions thereof, to delete projects and/or portions of projects based upon budget constraints, and to accept any Bid deemed most favorable. The Borough also reserves the right to waive any informality in the Bid, and to waive any omissions, errors, mistakes, defects or irregularities in any Bid. The preparation work, plaster repairs, drain cover installation, tile installation and coping installation are to begin on September 14, 2026 and be completed by November 30, 2026. Installation of the plaster finish coat is to be done between April 1, 2027 through May 14, 2027. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be directed to ENGINEER.
