The general scope of work will consist of replacement of existing air handling units and condensing units with new split heat pumps that include hot gas reheat for dehumidification and hot water for emergency heat. This includes electrical and hot water piping as required for new units. Single prime proposals only will be received for all construction work. Requirements for bidding this project are as follows: 1. Three references from previously satisfied public-school customers of similar size, scope & timeframe. 2. Furnish NC License Number (G.S. Chapter 87 establishes licensing requirements for general, plumbing, heating, electrical, and refrigeration contractors for construction projects costing $30,000 or more). 3. Insurance - The Contractor shall provide, as required by law, insurance for his employees. The Contractor shall furnish a certificate to the Owner as a Proof of Coverage. The Contractor shall maintain and pay the Insurance Coverage, which shall not be less than the following: Workman’s Compensation Statutory, Employers Liability $1,000,000.
