ITEM 1: HAZARDOUS MATERIAL ABATEMENT The scope of work requires removal of wall finishes, ceramic tile. District has no record of past testing of material. At the time of initial demolition the District will have the tile and substrate tested for asbestos content. If positive, abatement of hazardous material will be contracted separately by the District. ITEM 2: TILE FINISH AT BACK OF COOK RANGE The contractor has the option to install a stainless steel back splash over 5/8" type X drywall the floor to ceiling entire width of the hood in lieu of replacing ceramic tile finish if deemed more economical. The Work of this Contract shall consist of the construction and completion of the project known as Laytonville Elementary School 2016 modernization andIncline building replacement including but not limited to: 1. Removal and replacement of Modular Classroom 2. Associated Site Improvements 3. New Fire Alarm System and Modification to existing fire alarm system. B. All work shown or described in the Contract Documents shall be furnished complete, in-place, and ready for occupancy and use. remove existing kitchen hood and exhaust fan. furnish and install new ul listed hood, ul listed hood exhaust, ansul fire system including pull stations, maintain and rebalance existing make-up air unit and connect to hood control system. furnish hood airflow & performance testing to include exhaust and make-up airflows. clean existing 14" dia. grease duct, repair any visual damage and weld new hood and fan curb to existing duct. perform structural modifications to existing trusses and associated structure as indicated on structural drawings.
