Site work and paving for a road / highway in Menifee, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The work consists of constructing new traffic signal improvements at the intersection of Evans Rd and Craig Ave, including provision of traffic signal timing sheets, removal and replacement of old signage and striping with new signage and striping per the signed plans and specifications, installation of bicycle lane markings, striping and signage, along with other removals, grading, and construction improvements as detailed in the signed plans and Special Provisions and any amendments. The contractor shall furnish all labor, services, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the project in accordance with the contract documents. Bids must be submitted electronically through the specified bidding portal with all required attachments, including but not limited to a bid bond and subcontractor list. A hard copy of the entire bid package, including all original notarized documents, must be submitted within 24 hours of the electronic submittal deadline. All bids must be in a sealed envelope clearly marked as specified. Bids must be accompanied by a certified cashier's check or bid bond equal to ten percent of the total bid amount. The contractor awarded the contract must provide performance and payment bonds. The agency reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive irregularities, and evaluate bid responsiveness and responsibility in accordance with applicable laws and contract documents. Bidders must possess a current State of California "Class-A" Contractor's License and be registered to perform public work. The successful bidder is required to comply with prevailing wage laws. The contractor must perform at least 50% of the work with its own forces unless otherwise specified. The bidder is responsible for downloading, reviewing, and incorporating any addenda posted up to 72 hours before the bid opening. All addenda must be acknowledged and submitted with the bid. Bidders must fully acquaint themselves with all site conditions and contract documents. Failure to submit a complete bid, including all required documentation, may result in rejection. The objective is to add new traffic signal construction at the intersection of Evans Rd/Craig Ave, new signage and striping, AC pavement, and bicycle lanes at this location.
