The City of Moose Jaw is inviting proposals from qualified contractors to provide grass cutting services. Any inquiries concerning this RFP should be directed in writing to the following: Emily Mai, Procurement Specialist City of Moose Jaw Phone: 306-694-4404 E-mail: procurement@moosejaw.ca All inquiries should be in writing and received by Moose Jaw on or before April 24, 2026 This project involves the regular maintenance and cutting of grass on infill lots, which are vacant or underutilized Moose Jaw owned, or Moose Jaw controlled parcels of land within the limits of the City of Moose Jaw, outlined in Schedule B. The primary tasks include mowing, trimming, debris removal, and periodic inspection to ensure the lots are neat, clean, and safe. Scope of the Work 1. Mowing: o Frequency: Once every three (3) weeks or two (2) times a season during the growing season (May to September) as outline in Schedule B. o Equipment: Use of commercial-grade mowers to maintain grass height between 2-3 inches. 2. Trimming: o Frequency: In conjunction with mowing. o Areas: Around trees, fences, streetlights, sidewalks, and other obstacles. o Equipment: Use of string trimmers and edgers. 3. Debris Removal: o Frequency: If any, prior to mowing and trimming. o Tasks: Removal of litter, leaves, and other debris to prevent hazards and maintain cleanliness. 4. Inspection: o Frequency: Monthly. o Tasks: Checking for overgrown areas, safety concerns, and any necessary repairs or additional maintenance This Agreement shall be in effect for a period of three (3) years (from 2026 to 2028), with an option in favour of Moose Jaw to extend the term for an additional period of up to two (2) years, unless it is terminated earlier in accordance with the terms of this Agreement. Any continuation of services, including during any extension period, shall be subject to annual budget approval. Work shall not commence before May 1 and be substantially completed by September 30, every year during the contract term. The grass cutting and maintenance activities will be performed as outlined in Schedule B, during the growing season (May to September). Inspections will be conducted monthly to ensure ongoing compliance with maintenance standards.
