Perform surveying, maintenance dredging, and disposal of shoaled material at Anchorage Harbor and the Cook Inlet Navigation Channel to maintain safe and continuous navigation and port operations. The work includes annual dredging of approximately 900,000 cubic yards of fine-grained material for three consecutive years, with an optional annual effort to dredge up to 350,000 cubic yards of sandy material containing some cobbles in the Cook Inlet Navigation Channel. Dredging operations shall be conducted in a manner that maintains continuous access to the Port of Alaska dock face and terminals for shipping traffic at all times. All dredging shall be performed using hopper or mechanical dredges only; cutterhead, suction, and pipeline dredges are not permitted. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, supervision, and services necessary to complete the work in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and industry standards, including construction wage determinations. The contract is anticipated to be firm-fixed price with options for additional dredging seasons. The type of contract shall be firm-fixed price. Construction wage rates (formerly Davis Bacon Act wage rates) shall apply.
