Improve existing railbeds to increase access for tactical vehicles to secluded training areas. The work includes furnishing all plant, labor, transportation, materials, tools, equipment, appliances, and supervision necessary to rehabilitate existing railbeds for use by tanks and Bradley Fighting Vehicles. The base work consists of improving approximately 450 linear feet of an existing railbed extending west from Paris-Windham Road, just south of the North Dig Site. Work includes associated earthwork, demolition and removal of existing fencing, installation of culverts, and complete site restoration. Optional work includes up to four additional maneuver trail improvements, each consisting of approximately 500 linear feet of existing railbed extending west from Paris-Windham Road, just south of the North Dig Site. Each option includes the same scope of associated earthwork, fence demolition, culvert installation, and site restoration necessary to support heavy tactical vehicle operations. All work shall be completed within 365 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed, including inspection and punch list activities. The magnitude of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
