The Region of Queens Municipality is accepting tenders from qualified firms of the installation of storm, pressure and sanitary sewers as well as the installation of one municipal lift station and the rehabilitation of the street interface with curb, gutter, sidewalk and asphalt. Final phase of municipal infrastructure upgrades to eliminate combined sewer outfalls. Work includes installation of sanitary gravity sewer, pressure sewer, storm sewer, manholes, catch basins, pump station PS02 with wet well and valve chamber, street reinstatement including granulars, asphalt, curb and gutter, concrete sidewalk, tactile indicators, landscaping reinstatement, traffic control, environmental protection, and connection of active services. Municipality supplies major pipe materials and pump station components; contractor supplies remaining materials, labour, equipment, aggregate, asphalt, and concrete. No mechanical or electrical building scope. Provide tender security in the minimum amount of ten percent (10%) of total price including HST, shall be in favour of the Owner, and shall be in the form of a Certified Cheque, irrevocable Letter of Credit or a Bid Bond which shall guarantee to the Owner that in the event of the successful Tenderer declining to enter into a formal agreement with the Owner as called for in the Contract Documents, or declining or neglecting to provide the Insurance or Contract Security required by the Contract Documents, then the Owner will be reimbursed the additional cost of accepting another tender or Tender Security amount, whichever is the lesser. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any tender and to cancel the tendering process and reject all tenders at any time prior to the award of Contract without incurring any liability to affected tenderers.
