Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a fire / police facility in Fosterville, New Brunswick. Completed plans call for the addition of a 1,280-square-foot fire / police facility; for the demolition of a fire / police facility; for the renovation of a fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.
Construct a 32' x 40' (two bay) expansion AND minor renovations to existing building. All work must follow the standards of the National Building Code. Term of Contract: Must be completed by the end of September 2026. For all inquires or questions regarding this RFQ or to schedule an appointment to view the jobsite please contact Susan Patterson - CAO/Clerk Email: spatterson@lakelandridges.ca Phone: 506-279-6248 Ground prep work required: - Prepare ground for 32'x 40' addition which must include any grading to prevent water draining issues. - Install foundation walls, including rebar and insulation - Pour "thick" concrete floor, over vapor barrier and foam insulation, reinforced with rebar or steel mesh (as per attached engineered drawing) Renovations to existing building: - Remove steel from end of building (which would now be an interior wall for new expansion). - Remove steel from exterior of building on side facing the roadway. - Supply and install two new 12'x12' overhead garage doors and two new garage door openers along the side of the building facing the roadway. - Install security contacts on new overhead doors and tie into the existing system. - Move and relocate air filtering and ventilation system and lights from the ceiling to accommodate new garage doors. 32'x40' expansion: - Supply all materials and construct the 32'x40' addition to existing building. - Supply and install two 36" wide x 48" high windows. - Relocate the two 12'x12' overhead garage doors, openers and security contacts from end of the existing building to end of new addition. - Supply and install "red" steel siding (match existing) on the exterior of addition and on the side of existing building facing the road. - Supply and install steel roof (tying and matching the existing roof). - Supply and install "white" steel (match existing) on the interior of the addition. - Install airlines from compressor, along ceiling, and dropping on the left side of the tanker and pumper bays. Electrical Interior: - Move and relocate any electrical outlets as required when installing overhead in original section. - Install electrical outlets in new addition (every 10 feet) - Install LED lighting and switches - Install garage door openers on all overhead doors. - Install security contacts on all overhead garage doors and tie into current system. - Install sufficient size and/or number of mini splits to heat the new area. Electrical Exterior: - Install electrical outlets on both sides of garage doors. - Install outside lights above the overhead garage doors (as not to impose on traffic). Contractor is responsible and required to: - Adhere to the National Building Code. - Adhere to details outlined on Engineered Plans. - Purchasing of all permits. - Supply all materials needed to complete work. - Preform or subcontract all electrical. - Subcontract the heat pump system. - Remove all construction debris and cost of disposal fees. - WorkSafe NB coverage - Insurance Documents can be found at https://www.lakelandridges.ca/rfq-north-lake-fire-station/
