Sealed bids are wanted for the Fred Houser Way Low Volume Road Project. The project consists of grading and preparing approximately 2,000 feet of existing road; removing up to 1 foot of existing road material depending on conditions; installing two new 40' x 15" cross pipes with headwalls/endwalls; installing a subsurface drain to collect groundwater; installing geotextile fabric to separate materials from the sub-base; installing 2A base compacted (maximum 12-inch lift); and installing asphalt with binder and wearing course to an 18-foot width. The road will be raised from the intersection of Linden Road and from the intersection of Lake Street. Contractors must comply with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act and related regulations. Bids should use the Prevailing Wage Project Rates from the Bureau of Labor Law Compliance Project Serial Number 26-00837, and contractors must include these requirements in all subcontracts. All proposals must be submitted on the provided bid documents. A bid bond in the amount of 10% is required. The borough reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
