Reference Number 0000421472 Source ID PU.AG.USA.2519950.C15195176 Piggyback Contract No The Town of Wellington is soliciting bids from qualified contractors to install new water meters and meter pits as part of the Town's Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Project. The purpose of this Request for Bids (RFB) is to procure a qualified contractor to complete the installation of water meters and associated infrastructure in a timely, cost-effective, and professional manner. Question Deadline 05/13/2026 at 5:00 PM MT Questions are submitted online Yes The contractor shall provide full turnkey services, including but not limited to: o Meter exchange and installation. o Exchange of 955 - 3/4 " and 12 - 1" with Sensus iPERL(R) outdoor pit-set water meters. Includes customer contact at time of the installation. Town to provide meters, no additional fittings or parts are anticipated to be needed. o Installation of 196 new outdoor meter pits and pit-set meters to replace existing interior water meters. Includes attempted customer contact at the time of installation. All digging must be completed by hydro vac or the use of hand tools. The Contractor shall be responsible for any damage to existing utilities encountered. Town staff will be responsible for locating curb stops if not easily located by the contractor. The Town can provide bulk water as well as a disposal site for excavated materials. Contractor will be responsible for providing pea gravel for bedding meter pits per Town details. Town will provide a location for gravel storage. Town will provide topsoil for backfill around meter pits. Following installation of new meter pit the location shall be restored to pre-installation conditions to the satisfaction of the Town's project manager. See Town Detail 2-7 Removal of inside-set meters will be handled post project by Town staff. o Town staff will be responsible for 1.5" and larger meters, as a result there is no vault entry/confined space entry required of the contractor. o If in-operable curb stops are encountered, Town staff should be notified and will handle replacement of the curb stop so the meter replacement can be completed by the contractor.
