Site work, paving and new construction of a civil project in Dry Fork, Virginia. Completed plans call civil work for a road / highway and water / sewer project.
Pittsylvania County will be accepting Bids for cell construction and related infrastructure at the Pittsylvania County Sanitary Landfill. The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: Erosion and Sedimentation Controls; Site Preparation; Unclassified Excavation, Placement of Structural Fill; Culvert Installation; Subtitle D Liner System Construction; Leachate Collection and Conveyance System Construction; Gravel Access Roads; Revegetation; and Stormwater Conveyance Channels. The successful bidder shall be a Contractor, with a Responsible Land Disturber Certificate (RLD), who has experience constructing landfill Subtitle D liner systems and leachate collection and conveyance systems, and is familiar with the particular requirements of landfill construction. AGC form 220 will be used to evaluate the Bidder's experience record. At least two (2) Subtitle D liner projects totaling 500,000 square feet of constructed liner within the last 5 years are required to have been successfully completed by the CONTRACTOR or their subcontractors in addition to the requirements of the landfill liner installer as set out in the Specifications. Time of completion is 260 calendar days. Base Bid estimate - $4.6 million. Alternate estimate (partial landfill closure) - $2.6 million Question Deadline 05/12/2026 at 5:00 PM ET
