Renovation of a museum in Roslyn, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a museum.
Sealed bids are invited for the restoration of the water wheel at the Gerry Park Papermill in Roslyn, NY (DPW Project No. 21-07). Bidders must submit sealed bids in accordance with the requirements of the specifications, contract plans, and terms of the proposed contract. Bids must be made in writing on forms furnished and accompanied by a certified check or bid bond for at least five percent of the bid price, payable to the Town of North Hempstead. All bonds and insurance documents submitted will be verified for authenticity, and all bonding and insurance companies must be licensed to do business in New York State. Contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the New York State Department of Labor under Labor Law 220-i, and submit a copy of a valid NYSDOL Certificate of Registration with the bid. Contractors must also provide proof of participation in state-registered and state-approved apprentice training programs and certificates of completion for trades necessary to perform the work. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities. Special qualification requirements and additional provisions relating to apprenticeship programs are included in the bid documents. Contractors must provide statements of qualifications and financial conditions, even if currently executing work for the Town. Bidders should note the contract may be utilized by any governmental entity in New York State as permitted under New York General Municipal Law 103(16). Copies of contract documents may be purchased at the Town Clerk’s office for a deposit, refundable under certain conditions. All other instructions to bidders, including requirements for attending a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting and for the return of bid document deposits, are contained within the bid documents.
