Site work for a water / sewer project in Everett, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The project consists of the construction of various diameter pipelines and structures to convey wastewater and stormwater to the Port Gardner Storage Facility from multiple locations north and south of the facility. The facility will provide temporary combined sewer storage to reduce combined sewer overflows at the city's four remaining uncontrolled discharge points, meeting the requirements of a Washington State Department of Ecology order. It will also provide stormwater treatment for separated stormwater drainage basins, with conveyance to the city’s deepwater outfall and local stormwater conveyance to the Everett Water Pollution Control Facility. Free-of-charge access to project bid documents, including plans, specifications, addenda, and the Bidders List, is available online at www.bxwa.com under "Posted Projects", "Public Works", and "City of Everett." Bidders are encouraged to register to receive automatic email notifications of addenda and to be included on the Self-Registered Bidders List. Bidders who do not register must periodically check the online plan room for issued addenda. Assistance with access or registration is available from Builders Exchange of Washington. All bids or proposals must be made on the City forms provided in the bidding documents and must be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check in an amount not less than five percent of the total bid or proposal amount, in accordance with the bidding documents. A one hundred percent performance bond and payment bond, as may be required, on forms provided by the City, will be required from the successful bidder to guarantee faithful performance of the contract. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive irregularities or informalities, and make the bid award in the best interest of the City. No bidder may withdraw their bid after the hour set for bid opening, except as provided in the contract documents. The right is reserved by the City to postpone the award of the contract for up to 45 days after bid opening. The contractor must comply with all applicable local, State, and Federal laws and regulations regarding equal employment opportunities. The project is anticipated to be funded in part by the Washington State Department of Ecology. The City will ensure disadvantaged business enterprises have full and fair opportunity to submit bids and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
