Site work for a service station / car wash facility in Lawrence, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a 12,500-square-foot service station / car wash facility.
The project is for the installation of a cement pad, safety posts, security fencing, and upgraded electric service at the Transportation Facility, 635 Blackman Street, Lawrence, MI 49064. Bidders are responsible for all measurements and details, and must confirm all aspects of the request. The awarded bidder must comply with all relevant Federal, State, and local safety requirements and provide a written safety program prior to starting work. Bids may be submitted for the entire project or for individual parts: a complete package of concrete, electrical, and fencing; concrete work with posts; electrical work with lighting and pump connections; or security fencing and gates. Specifications include: - Concrete Work: Excavation and site preparation for a 100'x125'x8" fiber reinforced concrete slab with a 4" gravel base, dual row of #4 rebar around the perimeter, 6 gauge wire mesh throughout, minimum 4000 psi strength, and 6" steel posts set every 5' around fuel tanks and pump areas with yellow plastic covers. Posts to extend 10' beyond gasoline tank areas to separate bus parking and fuel fill areas. - Electrical Work: Contractor is responsible for all code requirements and permits. Includes three 20-amp dedicated circuits with keyed security power switch, timer switch, E-stop, one 20-amp circuit for lighting and card reader system, specific light pole and LED heads, and photocell on light heads. - Security Fencing: 9 gauge galvanized chain link fencing--10'x25'x8' enclosure for gas tank, 20'x40'x8' for diesel tank, corner and line posts (per spec), top rails, bottom security wire, fencing secured per code, two 5' lockable gates per structure constructed as specified. See fuel tank map for further details. All necessary notices, permits, taxes, fees, plans, approvals, and inspections are the responsibility of the awarded bidder. ADA requirements apply as needed. Instructions to bidders include: - Submission of a sealed bid with the base proposal, affidavits of familial relationship and Iran Economic Sanctions Act compliance, bid bond, company profile, project experience, and warranty information. - Bid security of 5% of the bid amount is required. Performance and payment bonds for 100% of the contract value are mandatory if awarded. - A certificate of insurance with specified coverage must be provided before work begins. - Bidder must submit company profile, qualifications of key staff, roles in relevant projects, three similar project examples, and warranty information with the bid proposal. The VAN BUREN INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL DISTRICT is soliciting competitive bids for installation of a cement pad, safety posts, security fencing, and upgraded electric service at the Transportation Facility, 635 Blackman Street, Lawrence, MI 49064. Bidding companies are responsible for all measurements and other details of this proposal. Response to this request for proposal is indication that the vendor has checked all aspects of this request. The awarded bidder must comply with the applicable Federal, State, and local safety requirements. Prior to initiation of services, the awarded bidder shall provide a copy of their written safety program, which shall include health, safety, and environmental quality for review. VBISD will accept bids for the project in part or as a complete bid: 1. Complete package bid of concrete, electrical work and security fencing 2. Concrete work with posts 3. Electrical work with lighting and connections to pumps and control system 4. Security fencing and gates Specifications Concrete Work: - Excavation and site prep for a 100'x125'x8" fiber reinforced concrete slab - 4" compacted gravel base - Dual row of #4 rebar around perimeter - 6 gauge wire mesh throughout slab (6" OC mesh) -Minimum of 4000 psi compressive strength - 6" concrete filled, steel posts sunk 3' in the ground every 5' around the fuel tanks and pump areas. Provide yellow plastic covers. - Extend posts 10' (both directions) beyond the gasoline tank area at 5' intervals to separate the existing bus parking area from the fuel fill area Electrical Work: - All code requirements and SOM permits are the responsibility of the awarded contractor - Three (3) - 20 amp dedicated circuits for pumps - Keyed security power switch for pump circuit in lockable cabinet - Timer switch installed in lockable cabinet - E-Stop button as required by code - One (1) - 20 amp circuit for lighting and card reader system (see specs on map) -Light pole - SSA 30 6G DM28AS VD DWBXD ABD - Two (2) LED light heads -RSX2 LED P6 50K R5 MVOLT SPA DWBXD - Photocell on light heads Security Fencing: - 9 gauge, galvanized security chain link fencing - 10'x25'x8' enclosure for gas tank area -20'x40'x8' enclosure for diesel tank area -3", 16 gauge corner posts - 2", 16 gauge line posts every 8' - 1 5/8 ", 16 gauge top posts rails -Bottom security wire -Fencing secured per code - 2 - 5' lockable gates per structure - Constructed of 1.25" - 16 gauge welded pipe -9 gauge galvanized steel -Wire secured per code
