The project involves the replacement of classroom cabinets at the Bert Goens Learning Center, 705 South Paw Paw St., Lawrence, MI 49064. The scope of work includes removal and disposal of existing cabinets, countertops, backsplash, plumbing fixtures, and installation of new cabinets, countertops, backsplash, and plumbing fixtures in compliance with ADA requirements. The work must be performed in rooms 113, 114, 115, 116, 119, 120, and 122. Specific requirements include a 4"backsplash, touchless faucets (provided by owner), single bowl stainless sink (ADA accessible cabinetry section), reconnection to supply and waste water in accordance with ADA, 5 1/16" on-center stainless wire pulls, surface mount concealed soft close hinges, cabinetry to match the existing layout (except room 114), and additional new cabinets for room 115. Materials specified include Formica, aged ash 8844-WR or equivalent for cabinetry, 3/4" cabinetry doors and shelves, Wilsonart high rose 4996-38 or equivalent for countertops, and adjustable/removable3/4" shelving. Floor repair is required as needed. The awarded bidder is responsible for all measurements, permits, notices, and compliance with applicable safety requirements. Bidders must submit a base proposal, company profile, warranty information, affidavits regarding familial relationships and compliance with the Iran Economic Sanctions Act, and provide bid security of 5%. Performance and payment bonds (100%) and proof of insurance are also required. A written safety program must be submitted prior to starting services. The awarded bidder is responsible for all measurements and other details of this proposal. Response to this request for proposal is indication that the vendor has checked all aspects of this request. The awarded bidder must comply with the applicable Federal, State, and local safety requirements. Prior to initiation of services, the awarded bidder shall provide a copy of their written safety program, which shall include health, safety, and environmental quality for review.
