This project consists of the replacement of concrete curb and gutter and sidewalk in coordination with the Sewer Department, after it has completed catch basin work, typically at intersection corners. This occurs at various multiple locations throughout the City of La Crosse. The work under this contract consists primarily of replacing concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk, and detectable warning fields for pedestrian ramps at various locations throughout the City. This work may include the removal of temporary patching material, removal and replacement of bituminous or concrete pavement, removal and replacement of concrete flatwork. Installation of items requires signing and barricading, site restoration, and other miscellaneous items necessary to provide a complete and thorough project. Electronic proposals will be received for the 2026 Sewer Utility Sidewalk Replacement in the City of La Crosse, Wisconsin. The work will be let to the lowest responsible bidder and must be performed in accordance with the plans, specifications, contract, and bond documents on file with the Engineering Department. Bid submissions must include a Certificate of Organization and Authority, Disclosure of Ownership, a list of Subcontractors, and a certified check or bid bond for not less than 5% nor more than 10% of the total bid amount. Bidder's Proof of Responsibility paperwork must be up-to-date and submitted electronically if necessary. Only qualified bidders will be accepted.
