Sealed proposals are requested for the 2026 Union County Guardrail Upgrade Program. Plans, specifications, and bid forms are available at the Union County Engineer's office on weekdays. Proposals must include a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond issued by a surety company licensed in Ohio. Proposals must list all parties submitting the proposal and all interested persons, plus evidence of experience on projects of similar size and complexity. The project must be completed by September 28th, 2026. Bidders must comply with prevailing wage rates as set by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services. The Board of Commissioners of Union County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, adjust items, or waive informalities, and will award the contract to the lowest and best bidder according to Section 307.86 of the Ohio Revised Code. Pre-qualification requirements: Proposals will be accepted only from contractors pre-qualified with the Ohio Department of Transportation. Pre-qualification status must be current at the time of bid, award, and throughout the contract duration. Evidence of experience on projects of similar size and complexity must be submitted.
