The Alpine Independent School District is soliciting competitive sealed proposals from contractors or vendors for a flooring update project at Alpine Elementary School. Proposals must be prepared and submitted in accordance with the requirements set out in the Request for Competitive Sealed Proposals. The District will evaluate and rank proposals based on published selection criteria, which may include factors beyond price to determine best value. An evaluation committee will rank proposals, and the Board of Trustees will approve the rankings. The District may negotiate with the top-ranked proposer, and if a contract cannot be reached, negotiations may proceed with the next ranked proposer. Proposals must follow the prescribed narrative format and sequence, be submitted in a sealed and clearly marked envelope, and be delivered by mail, overnight courier, or hand delivery to the specified address. No electronic or faxed submissions will be accepted. The District reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informality in submissions. Project Description: Removal and replacement of all existing VCT tile and carpet flooring throughout designated classrooms, offices, and hallways, including the removal and proper disposal of all existing flooring materials. Work under this project excludes the library, restrooms, kitchen, gymnasium, and science lab. A minimum one (1) year warranty shall be provided for both materials and installation.
