Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Barnum, Minnesota. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility.
Bids will be received for separate prime contracts managed by R. A. Morton and Associates, LLC, Construction Managers. PROJECT SCOPE: Site Work Each bid in excess of $20,000 shall be accompanied by a bid security of 5% of the maximum amount of the bid in the form of a Surety Bond, Certified Check or Cashier's Check. Each successful prime contract bidder shall furnish a Performance and Payment Bonds in the full amount of the contract if contract exceeds $20,000. Surety must be authorized to do business in State of Minnesota. Each successful "Prime Contract" bidder shall furnish signed contract agreements, certificate of insurance, W9 form, payment and performance bonds, listing of suppliers/subcontractors and schedule of values within ten days of receipt of contract and/or upon notification acceptance of this bid. Failure to adhere to this project requirement may result in the rejection of the Contractor's bid and forfeiture of the bid bond. Prevailing wage requirements are not required. No bidder may withdraw a bid for a period of Forty Five (45) days after the scheduled closing time for the receiving of bids. CONSIDERATION OF BIDS The Owners reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, or parts of bids, and to waive informalities therein. For the purposes of determining the lowest responsible bidder(s) in the consideration of all bids submitted, the Owners reserves the right to accept or reject any or all alternates, in any order or combination, which appear on the Bid Proposal Form and as it may consider in the best interests of the Owners. The Owner anticipates being able to award a contract within Forty-Five (45) days from bid opening. Preliminary schedule is included in this project manual. Contractors shall coordinate work with the Construction Manager to meet the schedule as required.
