The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) owns and maintains the right-of-way at the work location. The work is at the intersection of Founders Parkway (Colorado State Highway 86) and Crimson Sky Drive. Work includes removal of existing asphalt and concrete, pavement markings, and signage. Installation of sidewalk, curb and gutter, ramps, pavement markings, signs, new traffic signal poles and mast arms with signal heads, caissons, conduit and wiring, pull boxes, luminaire, traffic signal controller cabinet, detection, CCTV camera, fire preemption and connection to CORE Electric Cooperative (CORE) furnished service meter cabinet. The contractor shall commence work no later than the date indicated on the Notice to Proceed, and achieve Construction Completion (punchlist items, cleanup, and demobilize) within 30 working days in accordance with the Commencement and Completion of work project special provision. Accompanying this solicitation is a Bid Guarantee for 5% of the total bid amount according to the Invitation for Bid. Upon award, the Contractor shall supply a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond within ten (10) days from the date of the notice of award. The Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond shall each be for the amount of the total of this Bid and shall be from the same surety. The name and address of the corporate surety through which the Bidder proposes to furnish the specified Bonds is required.
