Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on April 30, 2026 at 10AM via Zoom. The zoom link will be provided within the solicitation. There will also be a site visit on April 30, 2026 at 2PM. It is the goal of the City of Columbia, SC to maximize opportunities for historically Disadvantaged Enterprise Business Enterprises (DBEs) including, but not limited to, Small Business (SBEs), Minority-Owned Business Enterprises (MBEs), Women-Owned Business Enterprises (WBEs). The City has implemented an overall citywide 15% goal to encourage socially and economically disadvantaged business participation. In an effort to encourage socially and economically disadvantaged business participation, this goal extends to Bidders, Offerors, Subcontractors and suppliers on its procurement and contracting offerings. This project consists of stabilizing the eroded stream banks along #1 and #3 Cardross Lane with the installation of gabion baskets. The project also includes removal of accumulated debris from within the channel to restore the channels conveyance capacity. The Project limits are between #1 Cardross Lane and #3 Cardross Lane, with access to the project from King Charles Road. The project includes repairing undermined areas stream bank with gabion baskets, slope grading and stabilization and landscaping. The Project also consists of stabilizing a drainage ditch with riprap that originates at the intersection of Palantine Road and Ludwell Road. This drainage ditch will have slight side slope grading and installation of SCDOT Class B RipRap. Work called for consists of furnishing and installing equipment, materials, labor, etc. as needed for a complete and proper installation of the proposed improvements in accordance with the plans and specifications.
