Demolition and renovation of a mixed-use development in Wytheville, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library; and educational facility.
Sealed bids are invited for the construction of the Renovation of Bland Hall for the Learning Resource Center project at Wytheville Community College, Project Code # 260-B4260-040 (L24WC650). The project is generally described as the Level 2 Alteration of interior portions of the Lower Level to house the campus Learning Resource Center (LRC) and the Kegley Archive. Work will include demolishing existing partitions and ceiling systems; installing new partitions and ceiling systems; installing stack shelving; renovating mechanical, electrical, and fire alarm systems; tapping a new water connection; and new finishes throughout the renovation area. Sealed bids will be received electronically through eVA or at Virginia Community College System, Attention: Mrs. Sibyl Roberts, 300 Arboretum Place, Suite 200, Richmond, Virginia 23236. Bids may be modified as per the Instructions to Bidders using fax number (804) 819-4762 and copying sroberts@vccs.edu. A Standard Commonwealth Bid Bond is required (form CO-10.2) and Contract Security is required for any bid regardless of the bid amount. eVA Vendor Registration: The bidder or offeror shall be a registered vendor in eVA. A pre-bid conference will be held at Wytheville Community College, 1000 E. Main St., Wytheville, Virginia 24382 in Bland Hall Room 238. Attendance is optional but highly recommended for those submitting a bid.
