The work consists of replacing two 1200KW generators at Building 60 of the Rochester Psychiatric Center. Bidders are required to examine the contract documents, visit the construction site, and provide a detailed work plan including major project activities, schedule milestones, identification of long-lead items, preliminary site-specific safety hazards, resumes of supervisory staff, names and values of all proposed subcontractors and vendors, special coordination requirements, storage/staging needs, and a detailed bid breakdown per CSI divisions or required trade costs. Bidders must have at least five years of experience in similar work and submit lists of comparable completed projects. Subcontract limits apply, and compliance with minority and women-owned business enterprise goals and equal employment opportunity goals is required. Strict bidding and submission instructions must be followed, including the use of supplied bid forms, submission of bid security, and compliance certifications. All contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the New York State Department of Labor. Additional requirements include adherence to specified bonding and insurance provisions, provision of a utilization management plan for minority and women's business participation, and submission of specified forms and certifications within detailed time frames.
