Site work and paving for a road / highway in Greenwood, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The work consists of supplying, placing, grading, and compacting 3/4 Crushed Aggregate Base Course (Granite) that meets WisDOT specifications. The project location is on Capital Road, starting at Madison Avenue to Owen Avenue, a length of 4,013 linear feet, with a width of 26 feet and a thickness of 6 inches compacted in two 3-inch lifts using a vibrating roller. The estimated quantity is approximately 2,479 cubic yards "in place compacted." Bidders must provide a unit cost encompassing all required items and an estimated lump sum bid. Contractors must also provide an estimated loose truck haul volume and are responsible for viewing all roads to familiarize themselves with the site. Contractors must convert compacted in-place quantities to loose truck haul volumes to meet the minimum 6-inch compacted depth. The project must be completed by September 1, 2026, and will include a contract with a penalty clause. Bidders are instructed that all proposals must be in a sealed envelope clearly marked and received by the specified deadline. Late proposals will not be accepted. The Town of Warner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals or waive irregularities as deemed most advantageous.
