The City of Atlanta will undergo a Multi-Step Sealed Bid process to procure qualified contractors for a full greens renovation at Chastain Park Golf Course. The project includes excavation, drainage installation, grading, and resodding to restore playability and ensure proper surface drainage. The goal is to rehabilitate all greens to meet industry standards for performance, durability, and drainage, ensuring long-term playability and reduced maintenance issues. Pre-qualification requirements: Interested vendors must have completed at least three golf course greens renovation projects of similar size, scope, and complexity within the last five years, including excavation, grading, drainage installation, and turf establishment. Vendors must be licensed, bonded, and insured for construction services in Georgia, show experience with subsurface drainage system installation (including perforated piping and outfall connections), have capability for precision grading, and experience with hybrid bermudagrass turfgrass systems (e.g., TifEagle or equivalent). Vendors must have the personnel, equipment, and operational capacity for large-scale greens reconstruction within specified timelines and comply with all applicable regulations, including OSHA safety standards.
