The scope of work consists of the replacement of the water mains on Compass Avenue, Beacon Avenue, Clubhouse Road, Bayside Avenue, Ship Avenue, Harpoon Street, and Larboard Street in the Borough of Beachwood, Ocean County, New Jersey. It will also involve the installation of new copper water services and fire hydrants. Instructions to bidders: - Bid forms, contracts, and specifications are available through Remington & Vernick Engineers for a fee. - Payment must be received prior to obtaining specifications. - No bids are to be picked up or dropped off at the Engineer's or Municipality offices. All bids must be delivered prior to the opening date and time. - Bids must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid, not exceeding $20,000, payable to the Borough of Beachwood. - The contract award is subject to the availability of necessary funds and securing required State, Federal, or Local permits. - Compliance is required with N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. (Affirmative Action), N.J.A.C. 17:27, New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Public Works Contractor Registration Act, Disclosure Statement for stockholders, and proof of business registration for the contractor and subcontractors. - The contractor must comply with all relevant regulations regarding small business enterprises owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals (SEDs), with a goal of at least 10% contract value to SEDs, either by subcontracting or unrestricted bidding procedures. - All surety bonds required must be from a surety company listed on the Federal Treasury List. - The project is subject to a Project Labor Agreement.
