This project, located on Lake Francis in Coos County, New Hampshire, is for the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services. The project's intent is to rehabilitate the existing Murphy Dam to meet current dam safety regulations. Replacement of existing 84-inch DOW valves with two 72-inch jet-flow gates and new hydraulic operator systems. Installation of concrete-encased steel penstock liner extensions and associated structural repairs. Construction of a reinforced concrete operator platform with hydronic heating, jib crane, and new safety railings/fencing. Electrical upgrades including new control paneling, conduit, and ultrasonic flow-meter installations. Access road improvements, erosion-control measures, and selective demolition of existing valves/equipment
