Reference Number 0000421549 Source ID PU.AG.USA.2731582.C18198101 Piggyback Contract No The purpose of this project is to repair existing asphalt driveways at the Incerpi (Skyline Ridge Open Space Preserve) and Cuhna Residences (La Honda Open Space Preserve). The project scope will include the resurfacing of two driveways with an approximate work area of 1,850 linear feet. Incerpi Residence Driveway - Gravel A. Site Preparation: Protect the surrounding environment, install erosion control and prepare the site for construction. B. Grading & Fabric: Grade the existing gravel surface and install the mat stabilization fabric to create a stable base. C. Base Installation: Install, place and compact Stevens Creek Quarry Class II Native with Lime road base to the required elevation and density. Clean and smooth the compacted base, removing dust and loose material. D. New Driveway should include 350ft liner feet by 18 feet wide. E. Oil Screen: Apply and uniformly spread oil screen coat over the prepared and compacted base. F. Chip Seal: Apply chip aggregate and roll for proper embedment. G. Sweep loose chips, verify any drainage and transitions, if applicable, have been properly coated. H. Perform full site cleanup and conduct a final inspection to confirm proper drainage, compaction, and surface uniformity before releasing the driveway for use. *Specification of Base Rock Required: Stevens Creek Quarry Class II Road Base: Native with Lime Cuhna Residence Driveway - Mixed Gravel and Asphalt A. Site Preparation: Protect the surrounding environment, install erosion control and prepare the site for construction B. Grinding: Grind 2-3 inches of existing asphalt. C. Regrade Surface: Shape and level the remaining surface to proper slope for drainage. D. Base Installation: Install, place and compact Stevens Creek Quarry Class II Native with lime road Base to the required elevation and density. Clean and smooth the compacted base, removing dust and loose material. Driveway Repairs at Incerpi and Cunha Residences Bid Package - A. Project Narrative Page 2 of 3 E. New Driveway should be 1,500 liner feet by 15 feet wide. F. Oil Screen: Apply and uniformly spread oil screen coat over the prepared and compacted base. G. Chip Seal: Apply chip aggregate and roll for proper embedment. H. Sweep loose chips, verify any drainage and transitions, if applicable, have been properly coated. I. Perform full site cleanup and conduct a final inspection to confirm proper drainage, compaction, and surface uniformity before releasing the driveway for use. *Specification of Base Rock Required: Stevens Creek Quarry Class II Road Base: Native with Lime Site Visit Note note:o receive directions to the meeting location and notice of any weather delays, bidders must RSVP to Eduardo Gonzalez at egonzalez@openspace.org no later than 4:00 p.m. Wednesday April 29, 2026. The mandatory pre-bid meeting will include a tour of the site. Tour participants should allow a minimum of three hours and should wear suitable footwear and appropriate dress for the open space conditions. Extreme weather conditions or other unforeseen conditions could cause the tour to be cancelled and rescheduled. You will be sent an e-mail the afternoon before the pre-bid meeting if it is cancelled. The pre-bid meeting and site walk will take at least 3 hours, not including your travel time to arrive at the meeting location. FORM AND DELIVERY The Bid Proposal must be submitted on the Bid Proposal form supplied with these instructions. Alterations to the printed text are not permitted. Every blank on the enclosed Bid Proposal form should be filled out completely (or provided in another format). Either cross out or insert "N/A" in the blanks that are not applicable. Bid Note: If the Bid Proposal must be hand-delivered, it must be placed in the District mail slot at the front door of the address identified above. Delivery receipts will be available upon request. If the Bid Proposal is mailed via the United States Postal Service, it is the Bidders sole responsibility to ensure the proposal is delivered to the identified address prior to the bid opening date and time.
