Site work for a water / sewer project in Davie, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Contractor(s) will obtain required building permits and furnish all labor, materials and tools necessary to complete the Dry Fire Well Rehabilitation, Installation and Abandonment. Specifications are for the installation, testing, and repair of fire protection water wells in the Town of Davie, Broward County. The contractor shall furnish materials, equipment, and labor, and all else necessary to complete the installation, testing and repair of a fire protection well. All work shall comply fully with NFPA 1142: Standard on Water Supplies and Rural Fire Fighting, 2017 Edition. Locations for installation of new fire wells will be specified by the Town. The contractor shall review each new fire well site for construction and maintenance suitability. Any site change recommended by the contractor will be reviewed by the Town and concurred by the Fire Marshal. Design “A” fire well shall provide a minimum flow of one thousand (1,000) gallons per minute. The depth of the well is dependent upon the minimum flow output required by the Town or Fire Marshal, with no fire well depth being less than one hundred (100) feet for a Design “A” fire well. Well casings shall have a minimum six inches (6") interior diameter, black steel pipe, Schedule 40, and shall be bitumastic coated at least thirty inches (30") below and six inches (6") above grade level. A steel drive shoe is required with a six-foot (6') lead below it. Discharge from the well shall be completely free of rock, gravel, and sand. Bids shall be considered only from firms that have been continuously engaged in providing similar products and services for a reasonable period and are presently engaged in providing these services. Bidders must submit satisfactory evidence of experience in similar work and preparation to complete the specified scope. All applicable insurance, licenses, and certifications by local, county, and state agencies are required. Contractors must protect all property during work, repair any damage caused, and comply with all laws and regulations. All equipment must be maintained in safe operating condition. Waste must be properly disposed of at the contractor's cost. No on-site storage is permitted unless pre-approved. Payment is authorized upon completion of all specified work and subject to verification and approval by the requesting department. The contract will be awarded to the bidder whose bid is deemed in the best interest of the Town.
