Sealed proposals are requested for cafeteria HVAC upgrades at various schools, specifically Old Bethpage Elementary School (Contract M1 HVAC Work) and Stratford Road Elementary School (Contract M3 HVAC Work) within the Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District. Bid documents, plans, and specifications are available for a nonrefundable fee. The bidding process requires submission of proposals in the standard form as designated in the specifications. Proposals must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the job name and bidder's information, and clearly marked for the contracts being bid. Each proposal must include a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 5% of the total bid as security. Certification of the bonding company is also required. Bidders may obtain plans and specifications from designated locations or websites and must coordinate for any required shipping costs. Addenda will be provided via email and online to registered plan holders. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and accept the bid deemed in the best interest of the School District. A pre-bid meeting and site walk-through is scheduled and attendance is strongly recommended for prospective bidders. Each bidder must agree to hold the bid price for 45 days after opening.
